Why “Gems”?

The term Gem, often used colloquially to mean something valuable, was chosen to represent the in-app currency on LearnWay because of its strong symbolic relevance. Gems embody the idea of value earned through learning and engagement, which aligns with the core mission of the LearnWay platform.

Understanding the Metrics and Projections

In this post, we’ll explore key metrics related to Gems—what they look like now and how they may evolve as our user base grows.

Important Note: Gems are non-transferable tokens that exist solely within the LearnWay application. They are not blockchain assets, cannot be bought or sold, and are not tradable. Please stay vigilant and avoid scams. All official updates regarding Gem utility will be announced exclusively through our verified channels.

Gems Supply Overview

Supply refers to the total number of Gems currently in existence—or that will ever exist—within the LearnWay ecosystem.

Gems are introduced into circulation through the following mechanisms:

  • New Sign-Up Bonus (including extra Gems for using a referral code)

  • Referrer Bonus

  • Rewards for Solving Quizzes

  • Monthly Leaderboard Rewards

  • Maximum Supply: [To be determined]

  • Current Supply (as of 05/05/2025): 1,989,172 Gems

  • Total Users (as of 05/05/2025): 1,790

Projection Methodology

While it’s impossible to predict the exact future supply due to the dynamic nature of user activity and reward distribution, we can create projections based on current data.

Using the formula:

Where x represents the projected number of users.

This formula allows us to estimate future circulation based on current user behavior trends. Examples: For 10,000 users: 1,111.3 x 10,000 = 11,113,000 GEMS

For 50,000 users: 1,111.3 x 50,000 = 55,565,000 GEMS

NOTE: This is a projection
